Chengzhong (Charles) Yang, age 13, of 2214 Miner Dr. in Dunlap, IL passed away at 19:22, Sunday, October 26, 2008, at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.  He was born on November 22, 1994 in Beijing, China, and graduated from Dunlap Middle School. Survivors include his parents, Shan Yang and Lan Yu.    
Charles was a wonderful child that every family would like to have.  He was kind, intelligent, courageous and a lot of fun and was thrilled to have the opportunity to come to USA at age of 11 with his parents.  Charles loves and enjoys the life in Peoria and his favorite sport is swimming. After he was diagnosed with lymphoma, Charles fought very hard as a warrior. His enduringness through rounds of cruel chemotherapy made special impact to his doctors and nurses. They all loved him.
A memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Woodland Baptist Church, at 6915N Allen Rd, Peoria, with the Rev. Caleb Chen officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the family or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on behalf of Charles Yang.

看到这个消息，心都碎了。朋友的孩子因恶疾走了，离开父母，走了。才13岁。

周围所有的朋友，都难以接受这个现实。一个活泼可爱，游泳游的非常棒的孩子，在短短不到两年就从刚会游水到四种泳姿达到二级标准。怎么会出这样的事呢？孩子的笑容和眼神总是活灵灵地出现在眼前。怎么都挥之不去。
